Senior League

Our Senior League plays Monday & Thursdays throughout the year (with a few exceptions due to events at WWGC), with a 10:00 am shotgun start early in season, gradually getting to a 9:00 am shotgun start in early June. We ask that all players be on site 30-45 minutes before the start.

Seniors may join and participate in the league anytime throughout the season. The senior league is a come when you can format. There are no requirements for the amount of times that you play. Our league fosters a friendly and inclusive environment where golfers of all skill levels can enjoy the game and improve their abilities.

Players will be part of a randomly selected three-some or four-some depending on the number of golfers signed up for that round. We play a team-scored format along with monthly individual and scramble events and daily CTP and skins competitions.

Handicaps (“quotas”) are based on a modified Stableford scoring system with Eagle = 4 points, Birdie = 3 points, Par = 2 points, Bogey = 1, Pickup on double bogey. Quotas are based on the player’s Stableford scoring average over the previous 5 rounds. New members must play 2 qualifying rounds to establish their point quota before being eligible for prizes.

In order to prioritize fun, fairness and enhance speed of play, we use a variety of tee assignments based on age and ability. More information is provided upon league sign-up or specific rules are available from one of the league managers.

Dates: Our Senior League Breakfast to kick off the season will take place on Tuesday, April 14th, and our first day of play will be Thursday, April 16th.

Fees: Non-members of Wood Wind pay a green fee of $35.00, including cart, collected in the golf shop. In addition, an $11.00 daily prize fund (including CTP and skins) is collected by the committee inside the clubhouse.
